A wheel-thrown vessel using a combination of Keane Red Earth Clay and Cool Ice Porcelain using a 'neriage' technique. The driftwood handle, jute threading, and satin matte white glaze complete the picture.
The "Neriage Terracotta with Driftwood Handle" is part of the ClayWeave series, crafted from Keane Red Earth Clay and Cool Ice Porcelain using the neriage technique, a blend that creates natural, flowing patterns throughout the vessel. Wheel-thrown and fully functional, this tall vase features a satin white glaze on the lower body, transitioning to exposed terracotta at the top. A natural driftwood handle is secured with jute threading, adding a tactile, organic element to the piece. The combination of mixed clay bodies, sculptural attachments, and hand-applied finishing makes each piece distinct.
