Black clay bowl with attached woven black and red collar. Glossy black chopsticks adorn the front.
This striking black clay vessel combines understated ceramic form with richly layered woven detail. Wheel-formed in dark clay, the softly burnished surface is contrasted by an intricate black and crimson woven collar that encircles the rim like ceremonial adornment. Glossy black chopsticks are bound to the front as sculptural elements, introducing a subtle reference to ritual, dining and cultural exchange. Bold yet refined, the piece moves between functional object and contemporary fibre sculpture, bringing texture, contrast and quiet drama to an interior space.
