Australia
Western Australia is the most isolated art community in the country and it has made its own way because of it. Perth and Fremantle hold most of the commercial activity, and the rest is spread thin across an enormous distance.
Every town on this page has one of its own. Buying from someone in the next suburb usually means you can go and see the piece first, and carry it home yourself.
No work listed in Western Australia yet
Artists choose whether their work is shown publicly, and nobody here has switched it on so far. This page fills itself in as soon as one does.
No work has been listed in Western Australia yet, so here is what other makers around the country currently have available. Each piece says who made it, and their page says where they work.
Isolation cuts both ways. Freight from the eastern states is slow and expensive, so buying from a Western Australian maker is usually the cheaper and safer option if you live here. It is also the only practical way to see a piece before you commit to it.
Fremantle is the centre of it, with a studio and gallery scene that has been going since the eighties. Margaret River and the south west run to ceramics, glass and furniture, helped along by the visitors the wine region brings through. The Kimberley is the other story entirely: the art centres around Broome and the north produce work with an international market and nothing in common with the coastal studios.
Every piece has its own page with a way to write to the artist directly. You send an enquiry, they answer it themselves, and you settle payment and collection between you. ArtFlow Pro does not take a commission on the sale and does not sit in the middle of the conversation.
Yes. The price on a listing is set by the person who made the work. There is no gallery margin added on top and no bidding.
That is between you and the artist, and many are happy to arrange it. Ask in your enquiry. Seeing a piece in person is the main practical advantage of buying from someone in your own area.
The artist arranges it, so ask about it when you enquire. Collection in person is common for larger or fragile work, and it is usually the cheapest and safest option if you are close enough.
Create an account, catalogue a piece, and switch on public listing for it. Listing is off by default, so nothing of yours appears publicly until you choose it. The free tier is a real one rather than a trial.
Catalogue what you have made, give every piece a page you can send to a buyer, and appear on this one. Listing is off until you switch it on, and the free tier does not expire.
