Australia
Queensland spreads its artists over a very long coastline, so the work changes a lot depending where in the state it was made. Brisbane and the Gold Coast look like the southern capitals. Once you get past Townsville it stops looking like anywhere else in Australia.
Every town on this page has one of its own. Buying from someone in the next suburb usually means you can go and see the piece first, and carry it home yourself.
No work listed in Queensland yet
Artists choose whether their work is shown publicly, and nobody here has switched it on so far. This page fills itself in as soon as one does.
No work has been listed in Queensland yet, so here is what other makers around the country currently have available. Each piece says who made it, and their page says where they work.
Freight is the honest reason to buy close to home here. Getting a large ceramic piece from Cairns to Melbourne intact costs real money and carries real risk, and a lot of it is avoidable by buying from someone in your own state. If you are in Queensland, most of this work is a drive away.
The Sunshine Coast hinterland around Maleny and Noosa has a long standing craft scene, heavy on ceramics and wood. Brisbane carries the contemporary galleries and the art school output. Far North Queensland is where the Indigenous art centres are, and the work coming out of Cairns and the Cape is unlike anything made further south. Toowoomba and the Darling Downs have a quieter painting community.
Every piece has its own page with a way to write to the artist directly. You send an enquiry, they answer it themselves, and you settle payment and collection between you. ArtFlow Pro does not take a commission on the sale and does not sit in the middle of the conversation.
Yes. The price on a listing is set by the person who made the work. There is no gallery margin added on top and no bidding.
That is between you and the artist, and many are happy to arrange it. Ask in your enquiry. Seeing a piece in person is the main practical advantage of buying from someone in your own area.
The artist arranges it, so ask about it when you enquire. Collection in person is common for larger or fragile work, and it is usually the cheapest and safest option if you are close enough.
Create an account, catalogue a piece, and switch on public listing for it. Listing is off by default, so nothing of yours appears publicly until you choose it. The free tier is a real one rather than a trial.
Catalogue what you have made, give every piece a page you can send to a buyer, and appear on this one. Listing is off until you switch it on, and the free tier does not expire.
