Australia
South Australia punches well above its size in craft, largely because of a deliberate decision decades ago to fund it properly. Adelaide has the infrastructure, and the hills and wine regions around it have the studios.
Every town on this page has one of its own. Buying from someone in the next suburb usually means you can go and see the piece first, and carry it home yourself.
No work listed in South Australia yet
Artists choose whether their work is shown publicly, and nobody here has switched it on so far. This page fills itself in as soon as one does.
No work has been listed in South Australia yet, so here is what other makers around the country currently have available. Each piece says who made it, and their page says where they work.
Adelaide is compact and the surrounding regions are close, so seeing work in person is easy here in a way it is not in the bigger states. Buying direct from a maker in the hills usually means a short drive and a conversation rather than a courier and a photograph.
The Adelaide Hills, particularly around Hahndorf, have a dense concentration of studio craft. The Barossa and McLaren Vale carry makers who sell through the cellar doors as much as through galleries. Adelaide itself has a strong glass and ceramics tradition, backed by workshop and studio programmes that have trained a good share of the country's makers.
Every piece has its own page with a way to write to the artist directly. You send an enquiry, they answer it themselves, and you settle payment and collection between you. ArtFlow Pro does not take a commission on the sale and does not sit in the middle of the conversation.
Yes. The price on a listing is set by the person who made the work. There is no gallery margin added on top and no bidding.
That is between you and the artist, and many are happy to arrange it. Ask in your enquiry. Seeing a piece in person is the main practical advantage of buying from someone in your own area.
The artist arranges it, so ask about it when you enquire. Collection in person is common for larger or fragile work, and it is usually the cheapest and safest option if you are close enough.
Create an account, catalogue a piece, and switch on public listing for it. Listing is off by default, so nothing of yours appears publicly until you choose it. The free tier is a real one rather than a trial.
Catalogue what you have made, give every piece a page you can send to a buyer, and appear on this one. Listing is off until you switch it on, and the free tier does not expire.
