By medium
Painting covers the widest range of prices on the platform, from small works on paper to large canvases that take months. Buying from the artist means the price you see is the one they set, without a gallery margin sitting on top of it.
The same medium, narrowed to one state. Useful if you would rather not freight something fragile across the country.
No work listed in painting yet
Artists choose whether their work is shown publicly, and nobody here has switched it on so far. This page fills itself in as soon as one does.
No work has been listed in painting yet, so here is what other makers around the country currently have available. Each piece says who made it, and their page says where they work.
Check the dimensions against your wall before anything else, because paintings almost always read smaller in a photograph than they are in a room. Ask whether the work is framed, whether the edges are painted if it is on stretched canvas, and what the surface is. Those three answers change both how it hangs and what it costs to hang.
Direct sunlight is the thing that does the damage, and it does it slowly enough that you will not notice until it is done. Keep work off walls that get afternoon sun. Works on paper need glazing and a mount that keeps the paper off the glass.
Each piece has its own page with an enquiry form that goes straight to the maker. You agree price, payment and delivery with them. There is no commission taken out of the sale and no auction.
Everything listed is made by the artist selling it. Where a piece is one of an edition, the listing says so and the artist will tell you the edition size if you ask.
Some artists prefer to discuss price on enquiry, particularly for larger or commissioned work. Those listings show Price on enquiry rather than a number, and you get an answer by writing to them.
Many of the artists here take commissions. It is not a listed option, so ask in an enquiry and describe what you have in mind, including your budget and when you need it.
Yes. Set up an account, add a piece with photographs and measurements, and turn on public listing. Nothing is public until you say so, and the free tier does not expire.
Catalogue what you have made, give every piece a page you can send to a buyer, and appear on this one. Listing is off until you switch it on, and the free tier does not expire.
