"An Ode to The Sea" is a functional, wheel-thrown, and carved ceramic vessel with coral texture and seaweed attachments.
The "An Ode to The Sea" from the "Carved Coral Vessel Series" is a stunning blend of artistry and functionality. Crafted from Cool Ice Porcelain and Keane's Dark Matter Mid-fire clay, this unique vessel features a carved coral texture and a sinuous and sculptural attachment. Wheel-thrown and altered, it showcases a clear glazed interior, making it fully functional for modern home decor. The addition of dried and treated seaweed further enhances its aesthetic appeal. This vessel is my tribute to the local rockpools that are in abundance where I live on the beautiful south coast of NSW.
