Artists choose whether their work is shown publicly, and nobody here has switched it on so far. This page fills itself in as soon as one does.
Ask what the fibre is and how it was dyed, because natural dyes and synthetic dyes age completely differently. Find out how the piece is meant to hang. A textile work usually needs a rod, a batten or a sleeve, and retrofitting one is harder than it sounds.
Hobart carries most of it, and the museum and festival traffic of the last fifteen years changed the market there considerably. Launceston and the north have their own scene, older and quieter. The state's timber is the thing that sets its craft apart: Tasmanian furniture and woodwork use species that are not commercially available anywhere else, and the makers who work with them are the reason people fly down.
