Ask what the metal is and whether it is solid or plated, because plating wears through and the timeline depends on how you wear it. Get the measurements. Ring sizing after the fact is possible with some designs and impossible with others, so ask before rather than after.
Castlemaine and Daylesford are the ones people underestimate. Both have maker populations far out of proportion to their size, built up over decades of artists leaving Melbourne for cheaper space.
