Artists choose whether their work is shown publicly, and nobody here has switched it on so far. This page fills itself in as soon as one does.
Ask whether the work is fixed, particularly for charcoal and pastel, because an unfixed drawing will move if it is handled. Check the paper. Good paper is one of the clearest signals that an artist intended a drawing as a finished work rather than a study.
Castlemaine and Daylesford are the ones people underestimate. Both have maker populations far out of proportion to their size, built up over decades of artists leaving Melbourne for cheaper space. Bendigo and Ballarat carry the bigger regional galleries. The Mornington Peninsula and the surf coast around Torquay and Lorne run to painting and coastal ceramics, and Bright and the alpine towns have a strong woodwork tradition.
